Dr. Justin Knapp-Wood received his Bachelors in Psychology from the University of California Santa Cruz and graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Miami in 2011.
Because Justin has always been interested in health and fitness, he became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in 2010 to compliment his weight training background and increase his knowledge of exercise prescription. He also earned his Pilates for Rehabilitation Teacher Certification from Polestar Pilates in 2010. Justin is currently working towards becoming an Orthopedic Certified Specialist and obtaining his CFMT (Certified Functional Manual Therapist) credential through the Institute of Physical Art.
Justin uses an eclectic rehabilitation approach drawing on his extensive, wide-ranging training to help his patients get out of pain and improve their performance. He has experience working with patients of all ages and takes special pride in helping his patients achieve their specific goals.
As an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Justin is committed to a lifetime of learning and continual professional development.
In addition to Physical Therapy, Justin enjoys outdoor recreation including backpacking, biking and snowboarding and (indoor) pursuits of Pilates and Yoga.
